Integrating Music, Arts, Crafts and Exercises to Lesson Plan and Curriculum Development Arts, Crafts and Exercises on Teaching Yes We Can and Hi Friends for ALT and JET (Resource Trainer: Reynaldo Naval, TEFL Certified, Boston Academy of English, Massachusetts USA) The Arts, Crafts and Exercises or ACE is to support Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs) and Japanese Teachers of English (JTEs) using “Yes, We Can” and “Hi, Friends!” textbooks for public elementary, grades five and six students. SEELS – ACE workshop series presents and suggests how to teach arts, crafts and exercises based on the content of Yes, We Can and Hi, Friends! textbooks, the official prescribed textbooks by MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) ー Japan.
The aims and outcomes offer Assistant Language Teachers and Japanese Teachers of English constructive ideas and more essential tips on arts, crafts and exercises making teaching communicative, practical and meaningful.

A workshop is to be conducted on how to utilize PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), a system of communication used for CWA. Teachers learn the application of PECS.
This final part discusses topics about ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder), ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder), EBD (Emotional Behavioral Disorder) and Specific Learning Disabilities (e.g. Dyslexia). Therefore, teachers study the Classroom Management Strategies for Children with Special Needs. Moreover, understanding how brain function by studying Brain-Based Education and Multiple Intelligences are to be covered. Teachers find out their dominant intelligences necessary in understanding the potentials and needs of the students.
SEELS received approval from Jolly Learners UK in giving a two-day company-based training course tied to accreditation of graduates in running the free-franchise SEELS Montessori English Phonics School, all over Japan. It is considered as training course for those who completed SEELS Introductory Course (IC) and are waiting to take the one-year SEELS Montessori Preschool Teacher Diploma Course.
The course-content is a full-blooded Jolly Phonics and Jolly Grammar training based on materials and instructions from Jolly Learners UK. There are two choices in attending the training—a local training in Japan and an annual international training in London. The annual international training in London is held every September. Both trainings are substantiated with Social Enterprise English Language School startup . The training certificate is credited in granting license to SEELS teachers and school owners in Japan.
Peer-to-peer training with SEELS accredited facilitator is the best choice for time and budget-conscious students. Before becoming a SEELS company-training facilitator, attending the annual training in London is a prerequisite.

SEELS ACE workshop series presents and suggests how to teach arts, crafts and exercises based on the content of Yes We Can and Hi Friends textbooks, the official prescribed textbooks by different prefectural and city/local Board of Education in Japan. The aims and outcomes of the series of ACE workshop are to offer Assistant Language Teachers and Japanese English Teachers added ideas, tricks and tips on arts, crafts and exercises that would make teaching more effective in the classroom.
